…we are officially married!
We had a very small ceremony (about 10 people) that included only the immediate family. I’m hoping to finally get announcements done sometime this week so that I can send them out to everyone. Meanwhile, here are a few picture from the wedding:
Here’s the beginning of the ceremony. We did the ceremony outside under some canopies that my Uncle Mike graciously let us borrow. Yes, that is a cowboy hat. We decided to go with a country theme. The awesome part is that I finally got Joe in those tight jeans! Yum! :-)
This was the handfasting part of the ceremony. One thing that I noticed with side shots is that they really do show your double chin and expanded waist line. Hm. Might need to fix that.
Our first kiss as husband and wife.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we had brownie whoppie pies from Douin’s Market in New Sharon. The stacks alternate between plain filling and peanut butter. If anyone’s interested in trying one, let me know! I would assume with all the preservatives that they would survive a trip to say, Vermont or Mass. ;-)
Just for giggles, I have to put this picture up. I finally found how Dad and I resemble one another: I have a double chin and he has a double chin. Yeehaw!
